For someone who can't really stand "chil'urn" for long periods of time (family not counted), I seem to have accumulated quite a lot pictures of the little blighters. There's quite a few to load, so apologies for taking up your bandwidth!
NEWEST
OLDER STUFF
And I posted a few a while back in this blog, located here.
And all are posted on my deviantArt account : HERE. *pimpin'*
I was sorting through my pictures and I found this.. This is what happens when you leave your paints out and leave me with them for 5 minutes. I start painting on myself.
I remember that day very clearly.. My mum came in and gave a strangled shout, and started laughing. She then chased me out of her room by throwing stuff at me.
I was 19 at the time.
No. I have no self control when I have a chance to make a mess.
David Bowie as the Goblin King from Labyrinth. But now.. now.. I am the Goblin King! Yes I am feeling quite silly right now. Other than the fact I've been having a Russell Howard-Jon Richardson podcast marathon, I've just been very giddy.
Presenting.. The source of my giddyness..! The Greatest Present Of All Time.
Yes. Make up. I love, love.. LOVE make up. And nail polish. And colour. I love colour. And make up. I just really love being a girl! *JOY*
And not for any cool reason, or girly facts like 'Oh I like to look pretty', and I have no real skills with make up either! (Unlike my ex housemate, Dinsuy or Neng Tya).. I just really like playing with make up..!
This was approximately 5 minutes ago. Yes - that is blue and pink and purple and silver and green. Crap pic, you can't really see the colours - but yes. It was LOUD and so very funny. I couldn't stop giggling. Its a shame I didn't have any liquid eye liner - I would have drawn all kinds of swirls and lines if I had.
My family complains that I laugh at the randomest thing, at the most random times - its because I sometimes remember the things I get up to when I'm left on my own..! Haha!
But yes.
I love make up. It makes me giddy.
I'm forever a 5 year old, cooing at colours when it comes to make up. I don't know what I'm doing, I just slap it on my face. Its sooo sooo fun.
(David Bowie is up there because as I remembered it, the Goblin King had outrageous make up on - my memory fails me. But I still had fun skipping around my room, wearing a cloak with make up on my face and crowing 'I AM THE GOBLIN KINGGG!!!')
Today is the day where most Indonesians vote, if not for taking part in an attempt at exercising their rights then for the simple reason that there's an abundance of freebies available for those who voted. From free coffee, to ice cream, to clothing discounts. Whatever the reason - I applaud you.
I'm ashamed to say that many of my friends seems to have opted out of voting, and proudly declared their idiocy.
By all means don't vote - just don't complain, a year down the road when you feel something isn't going right. Because that's what you're basically doing by not voting, right? You're giving up your chance to partake in how this country is run.
You've basically given up your voice, your right to complain about bureaucracy, or corrupt government officials, or the economy. You do not get to say 'this government is shitty'. You also loose all rights to be proud of its accomplishments. You have no voice.
I hate it when people complain about the state of this country, and the way its run. And complain about how nothing goes right. And say that everyone in power is evil and useless and corrupt - and then they turn out to be the ones who stayed at home while hordes of others are trying to make a difference.
Its idiots like that who ruin the country. For God's sake if you think all the candidates are evil, then choose the lesser evil. Study their policies, their views, their plans. Think carefully about what you're opinionated about, what fires you up - what issues you feel most strongly about.. Then pick a candidate which best represents that..! How hard is that?
I apologize for being harsh and calling non-voters idiots, but I just think that its idiotic to complain when you didn't care enough to partake in the process in the first place. Don't ask for democracy and then leave when you've been given the chance.
As I've mentioned before (on the post before this, in fact..!) - I can't wait for the next episode of the Michael McIntyre Comedy Roadshow. Jon Richardson is one reason (main reason, really :P), Jo Caulfield is another. Funny, funny lady that she is.
And.. Okay I can't help it. I want to post Jon-vids. Again..! Hahaha! I can't wait to see the full routine.
.. and failing miserably. Well, a cyber stalker anyway.. Since my object of "affection" is thousands of miles away. And not quite affection really, I just think the man is shit-yourself-funny. Who exactly am I talking about..? The man in question is - drum roll please - JonRichardson (the 'Jon' is linked to his Wikipedia page, and the 'Richardson' to his Chortle profile :D)
Jon Richardson is an English stand up comedian currently hosting his own radio show on BBC6music while touring the country, pleasing crowds with his rather intense need for everything to be organized, and his cranky-ness concerning the stupidity people sometimes demonstrate, illustrated comically through his daily observations of people around him (did that sentence make sense..?).
Further info - look up his Chortle and Wikipedia page. Oh and reviews of his 2008 tour, Dogmatic is archived by some lovely person - here.
I started being a huge fan when I started my obsessive downloads of his radio show with fellow stand up comedian Russell Howard, which thankfully can still be downloaded and listened to here (and if you explore a bit you'll also find his solo shows are available on the site too, or alternatively short clips of it are available on youtube.).. This of course led to obsessive searches of his stand up material on youtube, some of my finding I shall share quite happily (aren't I nice?)
My sudden need to share my affection of this man comes from the fact that I can't wait for July the 12th when hopefully an episode of Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow will finally show up on the internet, featuring Jon. It will air on the 11th in Britain, but yes.. I'm relying on you, internet! Don't let me down..!
Yes I love stand up, and I do spend too much time lamenting the fact I don't live in the U.K, somewhere around Edinburgh, Montreal and/or Melbourne (where the acts are found during festivals, and sometimes out of it). Youtube is my best friend, as is torrents.
Someday I shall buy their original DVDs. But for now - tis nowt but a dream. *sigh*
But err.. yes. I was talking about Jon. I love Jon, I can't wait to see him on Michael McIntyre's show..!
Also.. Mock The Week on the 4th..! Renewed for a seventh season..! YAY!
